Location and Schedule
This is a remote position. Normal operating hours are M-F, 8:30AM-4:30PM (CST). NCFH, Inc. is largely a remote working environment apart from specific positions that require a hybrid schedule and commute to our home office.

Summary
This position will be responsible for the development, pilot testing and provision of training programs to include on-site training, regional training, webinars, and conferences to a multi-disciplinary team.  Specific training activities include:  the Certificate of Excellence in Migrant Health, Governance Training, Ag worker specific training, Cultural Competency and Language Access trainings among others. This position would also provide hands-on technical assistance services, support for any Fee for Service contract trainings, and support the National Agricultural Worker Health Symposia training events.  

Qualifications, Education and Licensing/Certification
Required:
  • A professional level of knowledge in training practices and health education
  • Educational/experiential equivalent of a bachelor's degree program in social work, psychology or related fields
  • Practical work experience, including at least two years of direct training experience 
  • High level of written and verbal communication, including public speaking and presentation skills
Preferred:
  • experience in a migrant health/farmworker environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish (bilingual)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • COORDINATION HRSA 330 GRANT DELIVERABLES
    • Responsible for and conducts training and technical assistance (T/TA) requests from health centers related to building workforce capacity on topics related to the Certificate of Excellence in Migrant Health, Governance Training, Ag Worker Health, Cultural Competency and Language Access, etc. 
    • Develops and/or modifies governance training materials and works closely with team members in the production of training programs, i.e. through e-learning or other virtual training format
    • Contributes to and participates in the product development of workforce development tools and resources to build health center workforce capacity and including any pilot testing and dissemination of tools/resources across all NCFH communication channels and NRC Clearinghouse.
    • Works closely with Communications team for layout, design, and printing of training materials
    • Works closely with Manager in the coordination of the Certification of Excellence in Migrant Health Program to include modification and development of training competencies/e-learning modules.
    • Participates in program evaluations and prepares program reports for grant purposes.
  • PROVISION OF TRAINING/TA
    • Conducts needs assessment with CHCs, PCAs, HCCNs, and other organizations to develop/modify training or requesting T/TA services.
    • Leads development of proposals for any Fee for Service training requests received and develops and presents training content to be contracted for these services.
    • Leads webinars/training on areas of expertise, such as Increase Access to Care, FW Verification, Patient Experience, CLAS, Cultural competency, Board Governance, etc.
    • Conducts presentations and training at state, regional and national conferences on behalf of NCFH.
    • Participates in the development of new training programs identified by constituents.  Activities include researching and identification of best practices, adaptation/creation of course content & activities, incorporation of adult learning principles and popular education as appropriate. 
    • Supports the Training Services Manager in the content development, training delivery, planning and coordination of Symposia events.
    • Responsible for updating and maintaining assigned website pages related to Training Programs and Services and maintains NCFH training marketing materials/brochures.
    • Assists in implementation of marketing strategies for training programs.

Other
  • Participates in a NCFH Strategic Planning Task Force.
  • Contributes to educational tracks related to MSAW Service Delivery as part of the national Agricultural Worker Symposia planning committees and submits conference abstracts as needed.
  • Supports other assigned Symposia related activities, including exhibiting, moderating, and coordination of logistics on site at these training events.
  • Supports the modification/training of CHW training programs in English and Spanish.

Nature and Method of Work
Work is professional-level, requiring application of professional theory and practice.   Duties are generally performed independently, with priorities and work plans developed by the employee's manager and monitored periodically.  Communication with individuals and various organizations is extensive.  The employee's work involves the direction of programs that can promote the visibility and goodwill of the organization, and other work involves the potential for improvements to the organization's practices.

Physical Ability and Work Environment
The employee is regularly required to perform work duties at an onsite office/designated home workspace for extended periods of time with communication through virtual platforms (Asana and Microsoft Teams). The employee must have the ability to use a computer and other office tools with accuracy. The noise level is usually low to moderate.

Leadership and Supervision
Employee receives general supervision from the Workforce Development Training Services Manager. 

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years of age.
